Sign-up begins at 9:00 a.m.
  1st week limited to Hopewell residents only!  Residents must have proof of residency in the form of a valid PA driver's license.  Cash will not be accepted.  Payment must be by: two checks, or money orders, or by credit card.

HuMBugs Story Time   Jan 20th thru Feb 24th 2012
    Presented by B.F. Jones Memorial Library.  
  Fridays at 10:30 at Hopewell Municipal Building. Stories, songs, fingerplays and a craft. All children age 6 and under are welcome. Presented by Story Tellers from BF Jones Memorial Library. Drink and snack will be provided.....more info
Egg Hunt   Saturday March 31, 2012
    Sponsored by Hopewell Township and the Park and Recreation Board  
  All kids preschool through 4th grade will have an “egg-citing” time at Hopewell Community Park hunting for candy-filled eggs to fill their baskets and win prizes! Children will play fun games, make a craft, decorate a treat and have fun hopping around with the Easter Bunny! Watch a fantastic bird show featuring “That Guy With The Birds” who is bringing his trained parrots of all species and sizes to entertain with tricks and Easter-themed activities. The Concession Stand will be offering your favorite treats to fill your tummy! Bring your Easter basket and camera because this will be a day to remember!

Youth Fishing Derby   Saturday May 5, 2012
    Sponsored by the Beaver County Sportsmen's Conservation League  
  Our annual Youth Fishing Derby will be held at Hopewell Community PArk.  This event is for children under the age of 16.  This event is FREE!  Prizes are awarded based on the most fish caught, biggest fish caught, and most trout caught.  Door prizes are awarded to participants throughout the day.  Bait will be sold at the park.  The concession stand will be open.  Registration begins at 8:00 Am and fishing begins at 9:00 AM..

Adult Fishing Derby   Sunday May 6, 2012
    Sponsored by Hopewell Township and the Park and Recreation Board  
  Our annual Adult Fishing Derby will be held at the Hopewell Community Park.  You must have a valid Trout Fishing License for this event.  The cost is $3.00 per rod and there is a 2-rod per person limit.  Trophies are awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, based on the largest trout caught. In the event of a tie, the trophy will be awarded for the trout caught earliest in the event.  Door prizes are awarded throughout the day.  Bait will be sold at the park.  The concession stand will be open.  Registration begins at 6:00 Am and fishing begins at 7:00 AM.
REC-ON-THE-RUN   Check back for 2012 dates

  This program is for school-aged children.  During the summer the Recreation Staff will travel to Independence Square, Hopewell Township Municipal Building, Clearview Estates, and the Hopewell Baseball Fields behind Kane Road Elementary School to make crafts, play games, and have fun!  Look for the Hopewell School Van!  A schedule will be distributed throughout the Hopewell Elementary Schools and it will also be announced in the Beaver County Times or you may call the Hopewell Township Building for more information.

Camp Lakewood   Check back for 2012 dates
    Sponsored by Hopewell Township and the Park and Recreation Board  
  Children experience nature, canoeing, paddle boating, crafts, games, and more!  Campers aged 4-8 and 9-13 can interact in their respective age groups and make new friends as they enjoy the great outdoors.  This is held at Hopewell Community Park, Monday through Thursday, with a sleep over Thursday evening concluding the week.  Thursday evening's activities begin at 8:00 PM.  Children will play games, roast hot dogs, and sleep in the Nature Center until 8:00 Am Friday morning.  There is a $35.00 per child fee for Camp Lakewood for Hopewell Township residents and a fee of $50.00 per child for non-resident campers.  Sessions are strictly limited in size and are filled on a first-come first-serve basis.  Look for early registration in April.  Regular registration will be held in May at the Township Building.  Late registrations will be taken at the Hopewell Township Building Monday through Friday, 9AM - 4PM after the regular registration date.

Concerts in the Park   Check back for 2012 dates
    Sponsored by Hopewell Township and the Park and Recreation Board  
  Local bands will present concerts at Hopewell Community Park in Shelter 3 located behind the Nature Center.  All concerts will be held on Tuesday evenings and will begin at 7:00 PM.  Bring a lawn chair and enjoy a relaxing evening.  In case of rain the concerts will be held at Hopewell Junior High School.

Park Fest and Bicentennial Celebration   Thursday, July 5 - Sunday, July 8 2012
    Sponsored by Hopewell Township and the Park and Recreation Board  
  Parkfest is our Annual Community gathering at Hopewell Community Park.  This event features entertainment, kid's games, vendors, and much more!  There is a FREE Shuttle Service from Hopewell Elementary (Kane Road) and Margaret Ross Elementary (on Maratta Road).  THERE WILL BE NO PARKING AT THE PARK FOR THIS EVENT!  Concluding the event on Saturday and Sunday nights will be a fireworks display.  Please check back for further details.

Fallfest   Check back for 2012 dates

  Our annual FallFest is held at Hopewell Community Park from 11:00 AM until 5:00 PM. Kids of all ages will enjoy a festive day filled with fun activities that include a barnyard petting zoo, wild life animal show and inflatable obstacle course. There will be a corn maze, games, crafts, hayrides, paddleboats, balloon sculptures and a pumpkin painting contest. The concession stand will be open serving your favorite drinks and treats. This event is a great way to enjoy the beauty of Autumn at your park!
Visit with Santa   Check back for 2012 date

  The Nature Center will be bustling with Christmas excitement from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm when Santa arrives at Hopewell Community Park. Jolly Ol’ St. Nick will be available for photos so bring your camera! Cookies, crafts and fun activities for your little elves will complete your day and get your holiday season off to a fantastic start!
