Fire wood for sale
  Fire wood is offered for sale at the Park. Contact Hopewell Township municipal building, 724-378-1460 ext 100 or Carl at 724-496-9791 for ordering details. Payment of $125 per cord/$75 per 1/2 cord must be made at the municipal building prior to pick-up, 1700 Clark Boulevard, Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm.

Wage Tax Information
  Hopewell Township's 2009 wage tax filing will be collected by Berkheimer Tax Administrators. All 2011 and future wage tax collection, correspondence, payments, and filings should be sent to Berkheimer, P.O. Box 922, Bangor, PA 18013, or visit their web site at www.hab-inc.com for electronic filing and further information. You can also call them toll free at 1-800-360-3075.

Berrkheimer will have representatives at the Hopewell Township Municipal Building to assist residents in 2011 Wage Tax Filings. Dates and times to be set. Check back later.
       
Sewer Rate Increase
  Effective January 2011 the minimum quarterly sewer consumption charge will increase from $48.00 per quarter to $50.00 per quarter. The consumption charge will increase from $6.70 to $7.10 per thousand gallons usage.

Effective January 1, 2010, there will be a convenience fee added to your credit card payments.  This fee is required to offset the bank charge for processing a credit card payment.  The rates are as follows:
    Under $25.00
$25.00 - $200.00  
Above $200.00    
No fee
$3.00 fee
$5.00 fee
Garbage and Recycling
  Effective January 2009 the garbage pick up day was changed from Friday to Monday. The first collection day was Monday January 5th, and every Monday thereafter. Because of the New Year's holiday, the collection normally scheduled for Saturday January 3rd was moved to the new date, Monday January 5th. Recyclables for District A and B will be picked up on the 5th, and thereafter will picked up in accordance with the attached schedule. A schedule is attached for your convenience. NOTICE OF RATE CHANGE: due to the contract increase with our garbage collector, effective 2009 the quarterly garbage charge was increased from $30.00 to $33.00.

On-Line payment is now available on our web site for sewer/ garbage, and with the exception of taxes, any other payments due to the Township, including pavilion rentals. This program will conveniently allows you to pay with a Visa or debit card, either on line or at the Township offices.
 
Leaf Collection
  Effective Fall 2009, residents have the option of raking their leaves to the curb where the Road Department will pick them up with a leaf vac.  PLEASE do not include any other yard waste such as branches, grass clippings or animal manure.  For those who prefer to bag their leaves, this method of pick up will remain an option.  Biodegradable bags are available at the municipal building, five bags for $3.00.
   
Computer Stations
  Hopewell Township has installed two public computer stations in the community room, located on the ground floor of the municipal building. The stations are equipped with computers having access to the internet, wireless access for laptop PC's, Micro Soft Office (Excel & Word) and Hewlett Packard office jet color printer. This facility will be offered to residents at no charge. Users must register. ONLY THREE STUDENTS PERMITTED AT ONE TIME IN THE COMMUNITY ROOM.

DISCLAIMER: The intent of the use of this facility is to enhance education by providing computers to those who may not have access to this amenity. The Hopewell Township Board of Commissioners and staff assume no liability associated with the use of these computers.

  Provides home-delivered meals services to people in need. For more information call 724-378-8044.
 
Welcome Wagon
  Welcome Wagon packets are available at the Municipal Building between the hours of 8:00am and 4:30pm, Monday-Friday.
