Welcome to Hopewell Community Park General Directions:
Route 60 north, exit at the Hopewell ramp. Bear right onto Rt. 151 Gringo
Road. Hopewell Community Park encompasses 61 acres of primarily undeveloped woodlands, fields and wetlands. Purchased in 1967, all recreation for the community is centralized at this site and is coordinated through the efforts of the Hopewell Park Board and Recreation Coordinator, under the auspices of the Board of Commissioners. The Park Board meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month. Hopewell Community Park features:
Fire wood is offered for sale at the Park. Contact park superintendent Carl Wagner, 724-496-9791 for ordering details. Payment of $100 per cord/$50 per 1/2 cord must be made at the municipal building, 1700 Clark Boulevard, Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm. The
easily accessible lake offers fishing, as well as summer paddle boats.
Children summer programs include Camp Lakewood and Rec-on-the-Run. Other
park events include the Easter Egg Hunt in April, Fishing Derby in May, Parkfest
in July, October Fest, and Visit with Santa in December. Volunteers for

Shelter 3 located behind the Nature Center. All concerts will be held on Tuesday evenings and will begin at 7 :00P.M. This summer's dates will be: June 17th June 24th July 1st July 8th Bring a lawn chair and enjoy a relaxing evening. The Concession Stand will be open. In case of rain concerts will be held at the Hopewell Junior High School. Sponsored by Hopewell Township and the Park and Recreation Board June 17 - Hopewell Community Jazz Band June 24 - West Hills Symphonic Band July 1 - Monaca Coronet Band July 8 - Beaver County Symphony JUNE & JULY 2008........REC-ON-THE-RUN Sponsored by Hopewell Township and the Park and Recreation Board Open to school aged children. During the summer of 2008 the Recreation Staff will travel to Independence Square, Hopewell Municipal Building and Clearview Estates to make crafts, play games and other fun activities for two hours, twice a week. There is no need to register; just come and have fun! Look for the Hopewell School van. Schedule will be distributed throughout the elementary schools and announced in the Beaver County Times. Sponsored by Hopewell Township and the Park and Recreation Board Children experience nature, canoeing, paddle boating, crafts, games and more! Campers aged 4-13 can interact with their peers and make new friends as they enjoy the outdoors. Held at the Hopewell Community Park in the summer of 2008, Monday through Thursday with a sleepover Thursday evening, concluding the week. Thursday evening begins at 8:00pm; children play games, roast hotdogs and sleep in the Nature Center until 8:00am Friday morning. Fee for Camp Lakewood is $35 per child for residents and $50 per child for non-residents. Sessions are strictly limited in size and are filled on a first come, first serve basis. Schedules will be distributed throughout the schools and in the Beaver County Times. All sessions are strictly limited to a certain number of campers. 4-8 year olds are limited to 20 campers; 9-13 year old sessions are limited to 30 campers. Sessions will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. Because of limited space we will allow each child only one week. Friday July 11th, Saturday July 12th and Sunday July 13th. Parkfest is our annual community gathering at Hopewell Community Park. This features entertainment, kid's games, vendors and much more! There is a FREE shuttle service from the Hopewell Shopping Center and from Hopewell Elementary School on Kane Road. There will be no parking at the park grounds for this event. Highlight of the event will be fireworks on Saturday and Sunday nights. Sponsored by Hopewell Township and the Park and Recreation Board Come and be prepared to enjoy an uplifting week-end as various local Church Bands and Gospel Groups perform through out the week-end. Concessions will be sold. For your comfort bring a lawn chair or blanket. October 11th FALL FEST Sponsored by Hopewell Township and the Park and Recreation Board Our annual Fall Fest Festivities are held at Hopewell Community Park from 11 :00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. and include a corn maze, paddle boats, hayrides, games, pumpkin painting, and much more. The concession stand is open. This is a great way to enjoy the beauty of your park! DECEMBER 20h A VISIT WITH SANTA Sponsored by Hopewell Township and the Park and Recreation Board This event takes place in the Nature Center at Hopewell Community Park. St. Nick himself is in attendance. Each child receives a photo with Santa compliments of Hopewell Township. The children also make a craft and enjoy a cookie. Come for a quick visit or come and stay a while! The Hopewell Park & Recreation Board is always looking for new volunteers and fresh ideas.
